A diode laser generates light of a defined wavelength using semiconductor diodes. In professional hair removal, this light is delivered to the skin surface via a cooled handpiece. Crucial factors are stable energy output, a uniform spot area, and reliable cooling of the contact surface.
Systems with only one wavelength are limited to a narrow application profile. BlueIce combines 755 nm, 808 nm, 940 nm, 1064 nm in one handpiece, allowing different skin and hair structures to be treated with the same device.
